The Sports Racer Challenge was born in 2025 as a new series of West Coast races for vintage sports racers, specifically for pre-2000 S2s, WSRs, CSRs, DSRs, and the like. We’d like to thank Ronin Autowerks, Motorsports Market, MF Racing, Cockpit Creations, and ThingsThatGoVroom for their sponsorship.

For its inaugural 2025 season, the five race series took place at SVRA and VARA events, and the best four-out-of-five format determined the 2025 season championship. For the 2026 season we will be racing with VARA and CSRG in a best five-out-of-six format.

The series recognizes five different Classes: HS2, S2, WSR, WSR1, and Open. Trophies and swag will be offered to the competitors, and we encourage all to join us for a Saturday evening gathering to share the camaraderie of vintage racing. Registration for the series races will be through the Club that the Challenge is racing with that weekend.
